Lonny McCurdy |

Lonny was raised in Hutchinson, Kansas where he acquired a love for the auction business. After moving to Wichita, in 1968, with his wife, Annette, he became the Vice President of Fidelity Savings where he remained for 10 years.
In 1982, Lonny formed McCurdy Auction, LLC and grew it to be a full service auction firm, which conducts over 300 auctions per year. Lonny has been a past Director and President of the Kansas Auctioneers Association and is an active member of the National Auctioneers Association. He is an Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate. Only 268 auctioneers throughout the United States and Canada have qualified for this prestigious designation which requires the successful completion of a four-part educational program that includes examinations, submission of an acceptable auction summary report, and experiential requirements. In 2007, Lonny was inducted into the Kansas Auctioneers Association Hall of Fame. He was recognized for his inspiring contributions to auction industry, the community and the Kansas Auctioneers Association.
Lonny has held a Kansas real estate license since 1978. He is active within the Wichita Area Association of Realtors, where he has served as a Director, Treasurer and Past President. Lonny is knowledgeable in the many facets of both real estate and personal property auctions.

Annette McCurdy |

Annette went full time handling all the accounting and ensuring real estate transaction compliance in 1982 when she and Lonny McCurdy started the company. Annette has been an integral part of the growth of the organization. With a degree from Emporia State University and previous jobs as an executive secretary Annette contributes greatly to the McCurdy team.

Rick joined McCurdy Auction, LLC in 1986 as a real estate auctioneer. Rick has a diversified knowledge of residential, multi-family, and commercial real estate as well as an extensive background in marketing.
Rick completed his CAI designation in 2004. The CAI (Certified Auctioneers Institute) designation is one of the highest designations awarded in the auction industry. Awarded by the Auction Marketing Institute, the members who hold the CAI designation have to qualify for admission to the program by having a minimum of two years experience in the auction industry. The CAI program is an executive development course taught over three years in one-week sessions at Indiana University's main campus in Bloomington. Instructors for the course are Indiana University business faculty, leading auctioneers in the United States and professionals who serve the industry. The program is designed for decision makers in auction firms and the curriculum includes technology for auctioneers, management, finance, marketing, advertising, accounting, auctioning real estate and personal property, law, ethics, negotiating, and presentation skills.
This year Rick is serving the Kansas Auctioneers Association Chairman of the Board for the 2007-2008 year. He served as the President for the 2006 year and had been on the Board of Directors for 5 years. The Kansas Auctioneers Association is made up of Auctioneers all across the state that gather for continuing education, fellowship, and progressing the auction industry.
Rick has remained a multi-million dollar producer for years and was most recently awarded the Master's Circle, from the Wichita Area Association of Realtors, for at least $5 Million in real estate sales.

Braden McCurdy |

Braden began working in the family business at the age of 7. He started out working at personal property auctions. Braden obtained his real estate license at the earliest possible age of 18. For the past seven years Braden has concentrated his efforts on marketing and real estate sales.
He is currently the Director of Marketing and recently became an Associate Broker with the firm. With Braden’s extensive marketing background and the help of his team the McCurdy staff has received 30 first place awards since 2003 in the annual marketing competition at the National Auctioneers Association. Click here to learn more about the awards. In addition to marketing Braden handles private and auction real estate transactions. Using the auction vehicle is a growing method in real estate that Braden follows very closely. By doing so he contributes to McCurdy being on the forefront of real estate auctions.
Braden is a graduate from Wichita State University with a Bachelors degree in Entrepreneurship and minors in Marketing and Management. In 2003 Braden was awarded the President’s Club, with at least $2.5 Million in real estate sales, by the Wichita Area Association of Realtors. In 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 Braden received the Master’s Club Award with at least $5 Million in real estate sales per year.

Megan McCurdy |

Megan began working in the family business at the age of 7. She started out working personal property auctions and worked in the office throughout her schooling. Megan obtained her Kansas real estate license in 2005 and graduated from the Reppert School of Auctioneering in Auburn, Indiana in 2006. Megan is one of very few women auctioneers and the only female real estate auctioneer in the city of Wichita. She has placed in several bid-calling competitions and was the 2007 Rookie Bid-Calling Champion for the state of Kansas and is the current 2009 Reserve Champion Auctioneer for the state of Kansas
Megan concentrates on private and auction real estate transactions. With an outgoing personality and a great depth in real estate, acquired from her sphere of influence, Megan is eager to assist you in your large or small transaction. Megan now leads McCurdy Auction's personal preoperty and benefit auction divisions. Megan obtained her Benefit Auction Specialist designation from the National Auctioneers Association in 2007 and is in the process of completing the Certified Auctioneers Institute, a three year designation from the National Auctioneers Association.
Megan currently serves as a director for the Kansas Auctioneers Association and also serves on the Realtor Political Action Committee for the Wichita Area Association of Realtors (2009 Chairperson). Sylvia joined McCurdy Auction, LLC in February of 2008 as the Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining the McCurdy team, Sylvia was employed in the financial industry working with such companies as Latour Management and Raytheon. Sylvia spent 12 years with Latour Management, a local restaurant management company with 17 local food operations, including the well known Olive Tree, Chelsea's and Piccadilly Market and Grill. After leaving Latour to pursue her CPA she joined Raytheon Airline Aviation Services in the aircraft financing division. She served on the award winning Finance Education Committee for three years. Sylvia spent the last five years at Raytheon as a financial analyst leveraging her accounting, financial and technology skills to improve reporting and efficiency within the organization. Sylvia's strong skill sets provide McCurdy Auction with a financial functionality that keep pace with McCurdy Auction's explosive growth
Sylvia is a native Californian who came to Kansas in the 80's for a visit and never wanted to leave. She is a Wichita State University graduate with a Bachelors degree in Accounting and is a currently a Certified Public Accountant. Sylvia has served on two home owners' association boards in the Wichita area.

Shelly Cook |

Shelly joined McCurdy Auction, LLC in November of 2000 as Real Estate Closing Coordinator and in November of 2005 she was promoted to Senior Closing Officer. Shelly and her team work extensively with Buyers, Sellers, Lenders and Title Companies to close each and every real estate transaction virtually hiccup free. Shelly has coordinated in excess of 2,500 real estate transactions with her career at McCurdy Auction and she has the knowledge you deserve and expect with your real estate transaction.
With an extensive background in accounting, customer service, and real estate Shelly and her team are there to answer all the customers questions and concerns about their real estate transaction. Shelly became a licensed real estate agent in January 2005 making her capable of offering you full customer service.

Carol Dobbins |

Carol joined McCurdy Auction, LLC on March 3rd of 1993 and has been a strong part of the team ever since. Carol is the Office Manager and her job includes keeping track of all upcoming auctions, conventional real estate listings, contract and listing paperwork creation, keeping in contact and updating “pre-auction” clients, placing the newspaper advertisements and cashiering at personal property auctions.
Carol graduated from Wichita North High School and then attended Friends University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. Her previous employment included Specialty Fabrication, Inc. and QMI Aerospace in Wichita. Carol is married and has 1 son and 3 grandchildren which she enjoys spending time with.

Jeremy Oxborrow |

Jeremy began working for McCurdy Auction Service in November 2005 as a Closing Coordinator. He works within the Closing Department to facilitate a smooth transaction from contract signing to closing. Along with his duties as Closing Coordinator, he has designed and implemented the tracking database used throughout McCurdy Auction Service. He does the daily maintenance and customization of this database for the company. He also helps to improve website and other information technology functions within the company and on occasion assists at auctions as a clerk and cashier.
Jeremy graduated from Wichita State University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance with an Emphasis in Real Estate and with a minor in Management. In September 2008, Jeremy finished his requirements for and obtained a Kansas real estate license. In 2009, Jeremy earned his Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource designation from the National Association of Realtors.

Kendra Gideon |

Kendra started working at McCurdy Auction on St. Patrick's Day of 2011 as an Administrative Assistant. Kendra has held a Kansas Real Estate license since 2005. She has extensive experience in the real estate field through her past support and sales positions. Kendra handles the day to day functions within the company from greeting customers to handling property information research and customer service.
Kendra has an Associates from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale focusing in Business. She moved to Wichita in 2005 and has grown to love it. When not at the office, Kendra keeps busy with her friends and enjoys visiting Kansas City.

John joined McCurdy Auction, LLC in 2001 as a licensed real estate agent. John specializes in multi-family packages and commercial brokerage.
John has been a detective with the Sedgwick County Sheriff, the Sedgwick County Register of Deeds, and the Sedgwick County Commissioner. He also was the Owner/Operator of Celebrity Ticket Agency which he sold to Computerized Ticket Administrator (Select-A-Seat).

Kelsey Kimberlin joined the McCurdy Auction team in September 2010 as a Pre-Auction Coordinator and Marketing Assistant. Kelsey's responsibilities include pre-auction coordination, photography and graphic design. Kelsey assists in keeping marketing materials up to date.
Kelsey was born and raised in Wichita, KS and received a Bachelor of Arts in Photography and Mass Communication from Baker University in Baldwin, Kansas. Kelsey enjoys playing soccer, volunteering for dog rescues, and being the official Director of Fun for McCurdy Auction!

Morris lives in the Hutchinson area and has joined the McCurdy Auction team as a Hutchinson Area representative in September of 2011, as an auctioneer and real estate agent.
With his 20 years of auction experience, plus having conducted over 4,000 auctions in 12 various states, Morris brings with him an extensive amount of knowledge in the real estate and agriculture market. He is committed to the integrity of the auction profession, and will be eager to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have about your farm, ranch or home at auction.

Don Nichols |

Don grew up in eastern Kansas and received his Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education and a Masters of Science in Math Education from Pittsburg State University and a Master of Science in Deaf Education from Kansas University. He is retired from teaching with 41 years in the Wichita area and 8 years in eastern Kansas. He is married to his wife Brenda of 50 years with two children and four grandchildren. Don joined McCurdy Auction in August of 2011 handling field operations. Don enjoys woodworking, welding, and lawn care.

Melissa Bridges joined the McCurdy Auction team in October of 2011 as Auction Marketing Coordinator. Her duties include Internet marketing, listing properties for auction in MLS, writing press releases and various marketing projects.
Melissa, a 2007 Wichita State University graduate, has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, with an emphasis in print journalism. Her background includes experience in public relations, journalism, marketing, event coordination and insurance. Outside of work, Melissa loves to spend time with her husband and two children, Gillian and Owen Jr.
